Our client is a rapidly scaling provider of cutting-edge financial technology, focused on delivering modular infrastructure solutions for brokerages, fintech startups, and financial institutions. Their offerings span trade execution, risk and liquidity management, and hosting infrastructure.

They’ve built a robust Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, integrated with major payment processors. The next strategic initiative is to launch a versatile payment gateway that will enable both conventional card-based payments and crypto-to-fiat transactions.

To lead this effort, they are hiring a seasoned technology leader who can architect this new platform, recruit and manage a world-class engineering team, and shape strategic partnerships. This individual will play a pivotal role in transforming a greenfield vision into a scalable, compliant, and revenue-generating business line.

Key Responsibility:

Technology & Architecture

• Design and oversee development of a next-generation payment gateway for both traditional and digital asset transactions
• Embed best-in-class standards for compliance, KYC/AML, security, and performance from the ground up
• Make key infrastructure decisions related to cloud services, ledger systems, tokenization, and more

Team Leadership

• Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary technical team
• Promote agile development practices, KPIs, and a product-led culture

Ecosystem & Partnerships

• Manage integrations with banks, PSPs, card networks, crypto providers, custodians, and regulatory entities
• Drive technical due diligence and lead certification efforts such as PCI DSS
• Define service levels with third-party vendors

Product Strategy

• Own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing tech feasibility with user and market demands
• Work directly with initial clients to gather feedback and refine the product
• Create synergies between the payment gateway and existing CLM platform users

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 7+ years of experience in payments technology, with strong familiarity with acquiring, issuing, and transaction flows
• Deep understanding of crypto infrastructure, including wallets, custody, stablecoins, and exchange APIs
• Demonstrated experience building secure, compliant platforms (PCI DSS, PSD2, KYC/AML, etc.)
• Track record of managing high-performing technical teams
• Ability to navigate the payments and crypto ecosystem, including partnerships, compliance, and vendor management
